The FASD Center

FASD State Systems of Care

The SAMHSA FASD Center for Excellence (the Center) is committed to increasing and sustaining the development of model systems in order to decrease the incidence of FASD and serve individuals and families impacted by these disorders. The Center pursues this initiative by:

  • Delivering training and technical assistance to promote FASD prevention and treatment;
  • Helping States develop and implement plans to address FASD;
  • Supporting implementation of evidence-based practices to prevent FASD and to treat individuals with an FASD; and
  • Facilitating and fostering communication and information sharing that allows States and U.S. territories to share successes and strategies.
As States and U.S. territories increase efforts to develop comprehensive systems of care, it is vital to share the progress being made and the lessons being learned. This page was developed as a tool to share that information. We invite you to click on the map below to learn more about FASD efforts in particular States and U.S. territories. Also, a quick reference list of states by categories is provided here. To provide feedback on this page, please click here.
